2016 In Action

The bands has finished up playing their 3 series concerts throughout the year, the Rotary Gala concert and many community engagements throughout the year.
The Band is currently working hard in prepartion for 2017 which is going to be an exciting year.
The 20th annual gala concert in June and our 100th Central Coast Concert in December.

We are very excited to announce that our own Louise Wilson has been awarded as one of the four finalists in the 2016 NSW Band Association Young Band Person of the Year.
Louise commenced playing the flute, aged 10 and has been playing with the Central Coast Concert Band, for seven years, travelling from Hornsby every Tuesday with her mother and sister, both playing French horn.
Louise also played in her primary school Concert Band. Recently she auditioned for and was accepted into the newly formed Arts Unit NSW Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Other memberships include Northside Concert Band Roseville for the last 3 years, Hornsby Girls High School Symphonic Band and the Jazz Band, playing saxophone in the Jazz Band.
Louise has attended the State Senior Music Camp for 3 years and is currently undertaking AMEB Grade 8.
Louise has been an example of commitment with excellent attendance at Rehearsals and performances throughout her membership. A valued member of the Flute Section of four members and a dedicated player. She also assists with the band’s fundraising activities, such as the Bunnings BBQ fundraiser and helps her mother will organisational band email and the adverting of public band events.
A worthy Finalist. Well done!
The Central Coast Concert Band is proud to be a supportive environment for such young musical talent on the Central Coast.

About Us

The Central Coast Concert Band was incorporated in 1989. The band rehearsed in a number of school classrooms, school halls and even in a shed in an industrial estate. Eventually with a lot of discussion and involvement with the Gosford City Council a purpose-built facility was erected in Niagara Park, a suburb in Gosford, New South Wales in 2000. In 2013 this venue was sold, and the band now rehearses in the Gosford Masonic Centre. The band is a traditional concert or wind band. Instrumentation includes Flute/Piccolo, Oboe, Bass...

How to join

The band meets every Tuesday at the rehearsal hall in the Gosford Masonic Centre, 28 William Street, Gosford. Because the front doors are self-locking, you need to be there at 7:00 PM to gain access. Rehearsal starts at 7:30pm. We accept musicians of all ages and skill levels who can read music and play a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument.
